Why You'll Love This Role: As a Dayworks Asst Project Manager in our after-market ITM department in our Tacoma branch, you’ll be the backbone of our service and maintenance department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of teams from the accounting department to designers and managers contributing to the success of our projects.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Support Project Managers: Assist in procuring material, putting proposals together, coordinating equipment needed, and any other information pertinent to a variety of different job types/scopes.
  • Communication: Interact with customers regarding service calls through phone and email communication. Prepare and manage emails, work orders, reports, and other correspondence.
  • Liaison: Serve as the communication hub between field personnel, customers, and government agencies.
  • Problem Solve: Use critical thinking skills to problem solve with different levels of information available.
  • Data Management: Organize and manage data in spreadsheets and other software solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with managers and team to oversee daily operations and continually seek ways to improve process efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  •  Industry Experience: 2+ years of project management or project coordination experience. Experience in the construction industry or fire/life/safety industry is preferred but not required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel) and Google Suite (particularly GSheets) 
  • Attention to Detail: Strong follow-up skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Process-driven: Affinity for developing, maintaining and repeating standardized and multi-step processes.
  • Team-Minded: Bring an infectious positive energy that ignites team spirit and collaboration
  • Compliance: Willing to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check. NOTE: This is a Safety Sensitive position. All employees must pass a pre-employment drug test, including screening for marijuana. In the event of a workplace injury, additional drug testing will be required. Positive test results may lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
  • Availability: Able to work 40 hours/week plus possess a spotless driving record and valid license. Occasional field job site visits necessary.
